Depot mess

Duane Hicks

The Sixth Street recycling depot continues to be overflowing with items each Monday morning—both with recyclables and non-recyclables, as seen with this mattress here. The town is urging the public to wait until their scheduled “blue box” curbside pick-up day to get rid of their recyclables, or use common sense and only drop off recyclables when there’s room in the bins. The problem is expected to get better once new compactor bins are installed the week of July 20.
