Sarah Mueller, a dental hygienist with the Northwestern Health Unit, checked out Kayden Bruyere’s teeth this morning at Robert Moore School, then applied a fluoride varnish to help strengthen his teeth and resist cavity-causing bacteria. The dental professionals from the health unit offer screenings and fluoride varnishing in the schools periodically as part of its dental program.
