Dozens of young dancers took to the field during the warm-up portion of Friday evening during Couchiching First Nation’s annual powwow that ran from June 23 to 25, 2023. Friday night also featured the princess and brave pageants. While rainy weather was a near constant throughout the weekend event, organizers eventually made the move over to the Couchiching Bingo Palace, where dancers, drums and judges would be kept dry.
