Crews were busy yesterday afternoon cutting down trees from the boulevard along the north side of the 200 block of Second Street East. The removal is being done ahead of a complete overhaul of the block, in which the sewer, water, and storm sewer infrastructure will be replaced before rebuilding the road, curbs and gutters, and sidewalks. The block is closed to vehicle traffic for the duration of the project, which is expected to be completed by the last week of September.
