The ever-popular logger’s competition was back this past weekend at the Rainy River Valley Agricultural Society Fall Fair. Jason Caul was this year’s champion logger, Gary Booth took home safety logger, and Simon Dyck was named top rookie. Competitors took part in a variety of challenges including the two-man crosscut, Jack and Jill crosscut, speed power saw, pole fell, buck saw, axe chop, axe throw, pulpwood toss, water boil, and chair carve.
