Riverside CEO Wayne Woods, “Just Imagine” campaign chair and current Foundation chair Deane Cunningham, and former Foundation chair Larry Cousineau did the honours of cutting the ribbon at the grand opening of the new CT scanner at La Verendrye Hospital yesterday afternoon as Riverside staff and board members Patti Johnson, far left, Teresa Hazel, John McTaggart, Sandra Beadle, Robin Wright, Susan Tighe, Bob McGreevy, Kelly Taggart, Bernie Rittau, Tiffany Dolyny, and Mark Addison looked on. More than 100 district residents came out to celebrate the occasion, who were able to take a tour and see the $1.5-million CT scanner for themselves. The first patient was scanned Aug. 5 and since then, more than 200 have benefitted from the new equipment. Diagnostic imaging staff are now conducting five-eight scans a day.
