Youngsters from the local day care tried out the new crosswalk at Couchiching during an official launch there Monday. The crosswalk—the first in Northwestern Ontario that’s on the Trans-Canada Highway—will allow pedestrians to cross Highway 11 safely. An educational campaign is underway to inform drivers that they need to be prepared to stop there.
