Criminally kind

Mayor June Caul did a stint behind bars on Saturday during the Fort Frances Voyageur Lions’ annual “Bail or Jail” fundraiser at the Fort Frances Curling Club, in conjunction with the Fort Frances Chamber of Commerce’s Business and Community Expo. Mayor Caul was serving hard time after being charged and convicted of “ambitious niceness.” The event raised over $4,100, with most of the funds to go to a new mammography unit for Riverside Health Care. The top convict was Alex Cone of the Rainy River Cannabis Collective, who raised $1,040 in bail.
