The Rainy River District Social Services Administration Board announced yesterday that Rainy River District Emergency Medical Services has received funding of $165,000 from the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care to develop a “Community Paramedicine” program here, which will see paramedics use their expertise to fill gaps in health-care services with the aim to help seniors stay in their homes longer and live a higher quality of life.
