Barbara Morgan, president of the Rainy River Law Library Association, placed some dirt around the base of a red pine yesterday afternoon outside the Rainy River District Courthouse as other members of the association looked on. The Superior Court of Justice, Ontario Court of Justice, and court staff also donated trees to commemorate the courthouse’s 100th anniversary. There also was a special sitting of the court, where several dignitaries spoke, as well as a reception. Tours of the courthouse are taking place today and tomorrow from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
