Construction is well underway at Manitou Rapids on new pow-wow grounds for the Rainy River First Nations. Located at the junction of Highways 11 and 71, the project began last spring and is slated for completion by this summer. The grounds will be able to hold just under 1,500 people, as well as feature parking, camping facilities, change rooms, showers and washrooms, room for concession stands, and other amenities.
