Alzheimer Society of Kenora-Rainy River client services co-ordinator Mary O’Connor hands off the top trophy for the annual Coffee Break fundraiser to Merna Major. According to O’Connor, Major raised the most money by an individual for the Coffee Break fundraiser in 2022, and the trophy will be on display at Columbus Place until the next fundraising campaign. According to the Alzheimer Society website, Coffee Break is an annual campaign where funds for the Society are raised through donations in exchange for a cup of coffee. Anyone can host a Coffee Break for the Society, and it doesn’t have to be limited to just cups of coffee. For more information, contact the Alzheimer Society of Kenora-Rainy River at 807-468-1516.
