A CN train carrying crude oil derailed in Emo on Tuesday, Feb. 18, at 8:30 p.m. Roughly 30 cars came off the tracks, 26 of which were carrying crude oil. Two leaked a yet-to-be determined amount of crude oil. None has been found in the drinking water, according to the Township of Emo. As of Thursday afternoon, the derailed cars have been removed from the site, and normal operations should resume by Thursday evening. The Transportation Safety Board has deployed an investigator to examine the incident.
