Jesse Loveday of the Barwick Merchants applied the tag cleanly to Davis Ross of the Wal-Mart team on Thursday over in International Falls. Ross had hit a double to left field but was tagged out trying to stretch his effort into a triple. The Merchants won the “Battle of Canada” (the two teams are the only ones in the Little League from this side of the border) by a score of 5-3.
