Construction is underway at St. Michael’s School in anticipation of the province’s roll-out of full-day junior kindergarten there this fall. Local contractors Ed Kaun and Sons are pushing out the walls of the two classrooms by about 15 feet in order to expand the classrooms’ square footage to one more standard for kindergarten classes, as well as installing a mudroom and washrooms for the youngest students. Coinciding with this, the school also is undergoing a heating upgrade, switching from electrical to natural gas.
