“Citizen of the Year” Nick Wihnan rose from his seat to the applause of the crowd during the town’s annual appreciation dinner Friday night at La Place Rendez-Vous. Wihnan later received an award from Coun. Andrew Hallikas on stage and shared the message that volunteerism is about teamwork. The event also was an occasion for the town to recognize its retirees, long-term employees, and the many volunteers who sit on municipal boards and committees.
