Mayor Roy Avis, centre, was joined by Walmart manager Sheldon Demers, left, and Lt. Dennis Maybury to kick off the local Salvation Army’s Christmas kettle campaign this morning at Walmart. Volunteers will be ringing the bells at Walmart, Safeway, the LCBO, and Canadian Tire from now until Dec. 24. Smaller kettles also will be placed at Boston Pizza and The Place.
