The spirit of competition had a healthy dose of fun mixed in last night as Katie Beninger of Al’s Racquet Stringing, left, and Jess Caul of Taggs/Source for Sports carried on a good-natured rivalry throughout their Borderland Soccer League women’s division semi-final at the Struchan Gilson Soccer Pitch. Taggs defeated Al’s 5-2 to move on to tomorrow night’s final against the La Place Rendez-Vous U-18 Voyageurs in a rematch of last year’s title game, which Taggs won in a penalty kick shootout.
