Cannabis is now legal in Canada but remains illegal in the United States and those who attempt to bring cannabis south of the border can face serious criminal penalties. It also remains illegal to purchase cannabis in the United States and bring it to Canada, those who do so can expect legal prosecution, fines, and possibly jail time.
