Muskie Ray Calder was all smiles despite the chilly weather as he set out down the course of the senior boys’ 7.8-K race at the NorWOSSA Nordic skiing season-opener held at the Rainy Lake Nordic Ski Club trails on Rocky Inlet on Friday. Calder was the lone representative for Fort High in the race, winding up seventh.
