Here’s an image from Calder’s film, “Keewaydah,” which tells the Chanie Wenjack story from another point of view–that of a Métis woman who grew up in Fort Frances before moving to Toronto. Calder uses the time- and labour-intensive process of stop motion animation to bring her “actors” to life.
