Crews were busy pouring cement on Black Bridge along La Vallee Road South (about two km south of Highway 11/71) on Thursday. The project, bring headed by T&K Sharp Construction of Stratton, consisted of removing the old wooden bridge structure that spans the La Vallee River and building the new bridge. Funding for the project, to the tune of $1.21 million, was announced last year under the province’s Municipal Infrastructure Investment Initiative.
