Local author Fran Shelfantook signed a copy of her recently-published novel, “Sophia’s Journey,” for her great-granddaughter, Vanna Abbott, yesterday afternoon during the official launch of the book at the Fort Frances Public Library Technology Centre. The novel tells the tale of her own great-grandmother’s journey from Sweden to Minnesota, as well as the hardships she endured.
