Bea Galbraith was the first customer to drop by the launch for Jack Hedman’s new book, “Dire Needs–Dire Straits,” held Saturday afternoon at Betty’s. Galbraith has a special interest in the book–she is the sister of the late Lawrence Allan, who was interviewed about his time attending a railcar classroom. The book is available for purchase at Betty’s, Pharmasave, Northwoods Gallery & Gifts, the Fort Frances Museum, and the Fort Frances Seniors’ Centre (Sister Kennedy Centre), as well as Tompkins Hardware in Emo.
