Members of a surveying crew took a look at the view from a helicopter yesterday on their way to conduct surveys on land claimed by Rainy River First Nations back in May, 2005. About 14,000 acres of land will be marked near Sphene Lake, Pipestone Lake (Gates Ajar), and the Lake of the Woods/Morson area. The project will take about 60 days to complete as it was the largest surveying project awarded in Canada this year. Members of Sutcliffe Rody Quesnel Inc. will be flying from La Place Rendez-Vous to these areas daily.
