Kian McCoy-Jourdain learned about the firing mechanism on this C3 105 mm Howitzer during a demonstration Saturday afternoon in the parking lot at the Memorial Sports Centre. The 116th Independent Field Battery, Royal Canadian Artillery Canadian Armed Forces, is based out of Kenora but its area of responsibility spans from Red Lake to Dryden to Fort Frances. The demonstration was held in order to be more visible here in Rainy River District.
