In the spirit of “Shrove Tuesday,” Grade 2 student Hazel Rousseau enjoyed some pancakes yesterday morning at St. Michael’s School. Teachers were up early making pancakes to treat the students–and teach them that pancakes traditionally are eaten on Shrove Tuesday to use up ingredients that can’t be consumed during Lent, which starts today. St. Michael’s students also celebrated Valentine’s Day yesterday due to the fact today is Ash Wednesday.
