The Rainy Lake Mermaid has been doing for a long swim this summer. Boaters have been careful to avoid the beloved landmark, with several buoys and markers popping up to help boaters navigate around her. Last night’s storm wasn’t enough to cause a dramatic rise in lake levels. They popped up to 339.318 m, but have dropped again to 339.306 m this morning. Although the lake is stabilizing, it could be many weeks before the mermaid fully emerges again.
