Sydney Beck was among the Grade 9 FFHS band members who performed yesterday at the Rainy River District Festival of the Performing Arts during its first day of the instrumental division. Directed by Lisa Loney, the junior band received positive feedback for its performance of “Ghost Ship” and “Chronicles of Narnia.” The instrumental division continues today, with vocal—the final division—wrapping up the week. The annual highlights concert is set for May 10 at 2 p.m. at the Townshend Theatre.
