Last week, Kathy Lampi and the Backpacks for Kids crew dropped off about 265 backpacks at Family and Children’s Services. They and Weechi-it-te-win Family Services have since been distributing the stuffed backpacks to area kids and families. The initiative returned last week after a two-year break. Most district schools will resume next week.
