Recruiting sergeant Kevin Allard showed off an 81mm mortar to Joe Galbraith, Kodi-Jo Galbraith, and Catherine Robinson during an open house early Saturday afternoon near the Fort Frances Curling Club. In addition to doing their winter survival training, the 116th Independent Field Battery of the Royal Canadian Artillery had some firearms and ordinance on display there, and also answered any questions the public had about joining the reserves.
