Local NDP candidate John Rafferty wasted little time pounding in a bright orange sign in front of Larry Wood’s home in the north end of Fort Frances after Prime Minister Stephen Harper on Sunday morning called a federal election for Oct. 14. The other local candidates so far include incumbent Ken Boshcoff (Liberal), Richard Neumann (Conservative), and Russ Aegard (Green).
