Liberal incumbent Ken Boshcoff took a call from a supporter congratulating him on his win shortly after being declared elected in Thunder Bay-Rainy River Monday night. Boshcoff and NDP candidate John Rafferty were within 200 votes of each other through most of the night, making for a tense few hours. In the end, Boshcoff won by 663 votes.
