The post-Covid return of the Fort Frances Terry Fox Run was deemed a success by organizers at the Volunteer Bureau – roughly 25 participants came out on Sunday, raising $3,100 for the Terry Fox Foundation. It was the Bureau’s first time organizing the event. Long-time participant Samantha Halliday, top right, and her family took part in the run. Samantha lost a favourite uncle to cancer when she was young. This year, she raised more than $1,700 towards Jorja Scott’s fundraising efforts. Scott is a teen in Kincardine who is afflicted with the same cancer Terry Fox had.
