The family of the late Chauncey Grover III, above, and local experts on drug addiction began the events of International Overdose Awareness Day with speeches. Participants were asked to wear purple and bring photos of loved ones lost to drug addiction. The event saw a large turnout, with plans to return next year. It was organized in honour of Chauncey Grover III, who lost his life to drug addiction in 2020, and all loved ones lost to the illness of addiction. – Allan Bradbury photos
