St. Michael’s student Elijah Plastino coloured in part of the reading chart that has been set up as the school aims to read 2,011 books by Feb. 25 for the “Winter Book Challenge.” Plastino, who is in Grade 1, was the top reader last week, having read 20 books at home. St. Michael’s is well on its way to 2,011, with 340 books already read at home last week. The challenge hopes to promote the joy of reading, as well as get family and friends involved with students’ learning.
