Pair of drivers facing charges

Two drivers are facing charges stemming from incidents here overnight.
Shortly after 12:40 a.m., members of the Rainy River District OPP were called regarding a possible impaired driver on Scott Street.
Officers located and stopped the vehicle in question, and conducted an investigation.
A 48-year-old Fort Frances man subsequently was charged with one count impaired operation of a motor vehicle and one count of having a blood alcohol level over 80 mg.
He will appear in court here Sept. 26 at 9 a.m.
Then shortly after 1 a.m., police were called regarding a possible impaired driver on King’s Highway.
Officers located and stopped the vehicle in question, and conducted an investigation.
As a result, a 26-year-old Kenora man as was charged with one count of impaired operation of a motor vehicle and one count of having a blood alcohol level over 80 mg.
He also will appear in court here Sept. 26 at 9 a.m.
Members of the public are urged to report impaired driving by calling 9-1-1 in emergency situations.
