Pair face firearms charges

From the OPP

On Oct. 20 around 5:50 p.m., a conservation officer with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry called the OPP to request assistance with a vehicle stop on the Turtle River Road in an unorganized township.
Two members of the Rainy River District OPP attended the location, where they began an investigation into the unlawful possession of firearms.
As a result, two males from the Fort Frances area face firearms-related charges.
A 38-year-old was charged with knowingly possessing a firearm while unauthorized and two counts of failing to comply with a recognizance.
The other male, age 22, was charged with unauthorized possession of a firearm and failing to comply with conditional sentence order.
Both are scheduled to appear in court here on Oct. 30.
