From the OPP
Members of the Rainy River District OPP were busy responding to 112 calls for service over the Labour Day long weekend.
In addition, members conducted proactive patrols on the district’s highways, issuing 48 Provincial Offence Notices in total.
These included 28 for speeding, 10 for other Highway Traffic Act offences, three for Liquor Licence Act offences, three under the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act, and two for other Provincial Offences Act offences.
In addition, the Rainy River District OPP laid one drug charge and eight criminal charges.
The OPP would like to remind the public to drive safely and exercise caution on district roadways and beyond.
