The Rainy River Cattlemen’s Association announced Thursday they have hired a new manager for their Stratton sales barn.
Clayton Teeple of Barwick was the successful candidate of the position foremost for his qualifications from having worked in the sales barn previously.
“We’re glad that he applied,” noted RRCA secretary April Szpara. “He has been working there, but that didn’t mean he’d want to take on the responsibility of being the manager.”
She added of all the candidates, Teeple was the most qualified, most approachable, and is a fairly well-known face in the agriculture community.
Teeple will be beginning his work at the fall sales which are scheduled for Sept. 8, Oct. 6, and Oct. 27.
The previous manager, Russell Richards, was terminated following a special meeting of the association’s board of directors on May 2.
Although “internal problems” were cited as a reason for the dismissal, the association stated in a letter they appreciated all of his hard work and dedication to the sales barn.
