The Muskie girls’ curling rink split their games yesterday at the OFSAA boys’ and girls’ curling championships being held in North Bay.
The rink, comprised of Ashley Payne (skip), Andrea Schram, Daffni Chabot, and Jillian Cousineau, opened Pool ‘F’ play yesterday morning with a narrow 8-6 setback to Bill Hogarth SS (Markham).
But the squad rebounded in a big way that afternoon with a 10-2 romp over the host Widdifield Wildcats in just five ends.
The Muskies were slated to resume action this afternoon against Central Huron SS before wrapping up pool play tomorrow afternoon against Bishop Allen Academy.
The quarter-finals then will go that night, with the semi-finals set for Saturday morning.
The bronze- and gold-medal games then will follow in the afternoon.
