The Muskie boys’ and girls’ hockey teams hosted the Kenora Broncos in NorWOSSA action Tuesday night, with the home team winning both games.
The girls trailed 2-0 at the end of the second period, but battled back with three goals in the third to pull out the victory.
Kailey Curtis opened the scoring just 11 seconds into the third. Carlee Bosma and Lauren Krukoski completed the comeback with a goal each later in the period.
The win improved the girls’ NorWOSSA record to 2-1. And interestingly enough, was the third-straight time they’ve played to a 3-2 decision.
Meanwhile, the Muskie boys improved to 3-0 on the season with a 9-1 romp over winless Kenora.
The black-and-gold have racked up an astounding 24 goals for versus just two goals against in their first three regular-season games.
The boys resume NorWOSSA action tomorrow night when they host the Dryden Eagles, then will play an exhibition game against visiting Spring Lake Park, Mn. on Saturday afternoon.
The girls, meanwhile, are in Altona, Man. this weekend for a tournament.
