The second half of the Fort Frances Women’s Volleyball League isn’t the only thing dawning.
So is the realization by the rest of the league that it’s going to be very tough to catch the top guns.
The One Hit Wonders maintained its sizable lead after getting five of a possible six points last Thursday night.
The frontrunners for this entire season, the Wonders now have 71 points—15 more than their closest pursuer.
That would be Kiss My Pass, who made slight inroads into the deficit by being the only team to earn the maximum six points last week to push their total to 56.
Defending champion Scared Hitless grabbed five to remain in third place (50) while No Diggity stayed fourth (44).
Spiked Punch sits in fifth place (41), followed by Bump it Up (40), Gillons’ Northerners (38), and Let’s Talk About Sets (37).
Wild Sets has moved up to ninth place (24), just in front of Rockstars (23).
Sloppy Sets sits in 11th (12) while I’d Hit That (two) remains in last after being blanked for the 11th time in their 12 matches last Thursday.
Action resumes tonight at 7 p.m. at Fort High and St. Michael’s.
