Women’s soccer registration set

Registration for the women’s Borderland Soccer League for players aged 15 and up will begin tomorrow from 7-9 p.m. in Room 138 of Fort Frances High School.
The fee is $65 per player, and first-time players should bring along their health cards.
Now entering its seventh year, the league likely will consist of the same four teams: MEC, Gillons’, and Taggs, and the defending champion Merchants.
Regular games run until mid-August, when the playoffs begin.
League co-ordinator Jodi Johnson said new players will be divided up accordingly among the four teams.
The only major change from last year is that teams will be assigned a certain week to supply referees for league games.
If Thursday’s registration goes smoothly, Johnson said schedules should be released that evening and from there practices can begin anytime.
