The squad improved to 4-0 at VanJura Park with a 15-1 blasting of the Big Island Huskies in Rainy River District Fastball League action last night.
Logan Allan and Kurtis Wepruk went deep for the Wolves (4-3) in support of winning pitcher John Desaulniers.
Brendan Big George took the loss for the winless Huskies (0-8).
In other action last night, the Big Grassy Lightning (5-3) trounced Northwest Bay (2-6) by a 19-4 score.
Northwest Bay’s Orville Smith hit the lone homer of the game, but the Lightning’s Melvin Major still earned the win.
Wayne Smith was tagged with the loss.
Meanwhile, Sabaskong improved to 7-1 with a 4-0 shutout over Barwick.
Don Copenace got the win while J.J. Landry suffered the loss for the Blue Knights (7-2).
Elsewhere, Rainy River dodged the Big Grassy Braves 7-4.
Matt Ashworth and winning pitcher Murray Armstrong each clubbed homers for the Royals (4-3).
Travis Tom took the loss for the Braves (6-2).
Finally, Stratton clobbered Manitou 14-5.
Rob McGinnis was on the hill for Stratton (3-4) while Elvis Debungee countered for Manitou (2-6).
