It was good news-bad news yesterday for the Sight & Sound Wolves.
Playing with some all-star additions from other teams in the Rainy River District Fastball League, the Fort Frances-based squad went 1-1 in its opening day of ‘A’-Major Division action at the North American Fastpitch Association World Series in Des Moines, Iowa.
The Wolves kicked off play with a victory over the Tulsa, Okla. Gray Sox to move into the winners’ bracket of the tournament.
But their good fortune ran dry in the afternoon, falling to the Bedford Rays PF squad from Pennsylvania (scores from both games were unavailable).
That loss put Sight & Sound into a losers’ bracket game this morning against Sheddy’s (Wisconsin).
The outcome was unavailable by press time.
Win or lose today, the Wolves will play again tomorrow at 8 a.m.
