Wolves game postponed

Last night’s scheduled Rainy River District Fastball League playoff game between the Sight & Sound Wolves and Barwick was postponed.
The game will now take place Saturday, Aug. 5 at VanJura Park.
First pitch is scheduled for 4 p.m.
In other RRDFL action last night, Rainy River eliminated International Falls from the postseason courtesy a 13-3 victory.
Rainy River starter Murray Armstrong rebounded from Tuesday’s loss to Barwick silencing the International Falls bats on route to the victory.
Mike Imhoff took the loss.
Imhoff could not replicate Tuesday night’s performance when he threw a perfect game against Sabaskong.
Rainy River now await the winner of the game between Sight & Sound and Barwick in one half of the semi-final bracket.
Meanwhile, Big Island continued their surprising postseason run earning a 4-2 victory over Stratton.
The win eliminated Stratton from postseason contention.
Big Island’s Shawn Comegan remained hot at the plate hitting his second home run in as many games in the victory.
Robert Handorgan earned picked up his first postseason victory for the visiting Big Island squad while Guy Arpin took the loss.
Big Island will now face the loser of the Sight & Sound versus Barwick game in the other semi-final bracket Tuesday night.
