Wolves drop nail-biter

The Sight & Sound Wolves fell back to the .500 mark again Tuesday night.
The Wolves (3-3) were edged 2-1 by the host Sabaskong Cubs (6-1) in Rainy River District Fastball League action, with Sheldon Kelly earning the win.
Bob Andy was tagged with the loss.
In other action Tuesday, Barwick topped the Big Grassy Lightning 8-6.
Chris Jack went yard for the Lightning (4-3) but Barwick’s J.J. Landry still stood up as the winner for the Blue Knights (7-1).
Randy Morrison took the loss.
Elsewhere, the Big Grassy Braves dumped Manitou 18-3, with Jesse Tom homering for the Braves (5-2).
Travis Tom was the winning pitcher while Elvis Debungee toed the rubber for Manitou (2-5).
Rainy River, meanwhile, doubled Northwest Bay 4-2.
Murray Armstrong picked up the win for the Royals (3-3) while Wayne Smith suffered the loss for Northwest Bay (2-5).
Lastly, the game between Big Island and Stratton was postponed because Big Island was short of players.
Action continues tonight with five more games.
Sight & Sound will host Big Island at VanJura while Barwick entertains Sabaskong in a battle of the early-season titans.
Rounding out the schedule is Northwest Bay at Big Grassy Lightning, the Braves visiting Rainy River, and Stratton travelling to Manitou.
