The rest of the Borderland Soccer League finds themselves “aprés Vous” for the moment.
The Bujold brothers teamed up to help the La Place Rendez-Vous U18 Voyageurs blank Manitou Forest Products 3-0 in men’s division action last night.
Aaron Bujold was unbeatable in net while older sibling, Connor, notched the game-winning goal for the Vous (3-1), which moved three points ahead of second-place International Travel Services (2-2) and third-place Manitou (2-3).
Kevin Metke and Kirk Johnson also scored for the Voyageurs.
James Pavier and Mark Faragher split keeper duties for Manitou.
Manitou was coming off a 3-1 loss to ITS on Tuesday night.
Max Williams led the victors with a pair of goals while Zachary Koomans netted the other one.
Ben Whitburn earned the win in goal.
Carter Chorney had Manitou’s lone goal, with Pavier taking the loss in net.
Meanwhile, Pharmasave (1-2) finally notched a win after edging the Vous 1-0 on Monday.
Jameson Shortreed had the only goal against losing keeper Alex Gustafson, with Jim Nussbaumer earning the shutout.
In women’s play, the Voyageurs’ squad is on a tear in the early stages of the season—improving to 4-0 after dumping Taggs 6-2 on Tuesday.
Abby Sanders led the way with a hat trick while Maggie Jean (two) and Bryanna Dustin also scored.
Dustin and Jenny Hammond split the goalkeeping duties.
Sara Roach had both markers for Taggs (1-3), with Macey McMillen taking the loss in net.
On Monday, the Vous cruised to a 6-0 win over Al’s Racquet Stringing.
Erin Tomalty and Sydney Radigan each bulged the twine twice, with Claire Hyatt and Jean adding singles.
Hammond, Hyatt, Tomalty, and Taylor Croswell each took a turn in goal.
Phyllis Pierson suffered the loss for Al’s (1-3).
Al’s will look to snap a three-game losing skid when they host Taggs today at 7 p.m.
