Vous relentless in shutout win

Four goals in 16 minutes? A record-setting five goals in the FIFA Women’s World Cup final?
Please, Team USA, let the La Place Rendez-Vous U18 Voyageurs show how it’s really done.
The Voyageurs scored from near, far, and everywhere in between last night in a 14-0 rout of Al’s Racquet Stringing in Borderland Soccer League women’s division action.
With one of their top scoring threats in Sara Kellar unavailable due to personal commitments, third-place Al’s (2-5-2) had no offensive answer—and certainly no defensive solutions to stop the seemingly endless waves of pressure put on by the first-place Vous (7-0).
Abby Sanders had a game-high four goals for the Voyageurs, who racked up the highest one-game goal total in the league this season.
Angel McCormack and Sarah Faragher added a pair of goals while Maggie Jean, Taylor Croswell, Claire Hyatt, Jenny Hammond, Avery Wilson-Hands, and Bryanna Dustin also scored.
So far this year, the Vous has scored at least six goals in every game.
Dustin and Croswell split the goalkeeping duties to share the shutout.
In the night’s other game, Jess Caul netted five goals to carry Taggs to an 8-5 victory over Boston Pizza.
Myan Miller was no slouch herself—netting a pair for second-place Taggs (4-2-1) while Wynonna Kavanaugh tacked on another.
Jess Badiuk started in net before giving way to Becky Selman.
Laureen Peters was fantastic in a losing cause—notching four goals—while Jennifer Pagnotta got the other one for last-place Boston Pizza (0-7-1).
Amy Wilson-Hands took the loss in goal.
The Vous will battle Taggs in the lone women’s game scheduled for tomorrow at 7 p.m.
In men’s division action tonight at 7 p.m., last-place Pharmasave (0-7-1) will look to upset first-place Manitou Forest Products (5-1-2).
Meanwhile, second-place ITS (4-1-2) will try to extend its lead over the third-place La Place Rendez-Vous U18 Voyageurs (3-3-1).
